Applications Started for BILGI Young Social Entrepreneur Awards!
Applications started for BILGI Young Social Entrepreneur Awards carried out by Istanbul Bilgi University and put into practice with cooperation of International Youth Foundation, Sylvan/ Laureate Foundation and Turkish Education Volunteers Foundation (TEGV). Deadline for the contest application is 8 November 2011.
BİLGİ Young Social Entrepreneur Awards organized this year for the second time to strengthen and support youth assuming leadership of positive change for society they are living in is open to all the youth living in Turkey and between ages of 18-29. 10 candidates getting to the finals of the contest for which applications are made via the web site www.bilgiggo.org will receive financial/ monetary support amounting to 3.500 American Dollars and these candidates will be entitled to attend "Global Young Social Entrepreneurs" program carried out by Youthactionnet®.
In the contest for which it is necessary to be founder/ co-founder of an existing project/ organization or a project leader for and on behalf of an organization in order to make an application, it is stipulated that applying candidates shall be able to attend the training camp which is obligatory and organized by Istanbul Bilgi University and which will be implemented after December, year 2011 in Istanbul.
Application Process
Those who wish to take part in the contest may make their application via Internet. Personal details and details on the project requested in the online application form which is accessible via the web site www.bilgiggo.org will be presented to the attention of BİLGİ Young Social Entrepreneur Awards Assessment Committee and candidates will be invited to an interview. It is planned for 20 semi-finalists elected in the first week of December to organize 2-3 days of leadership training, dynamic one-to-one learning, cooperation and vision sharing between youth in Istanbul. 10 candidates getting to the finals after the New Year will receive financial/ monetary support amounting to 3.500 American Dollars. These candidates will be also entitled to attend "Global Young Social Entrepreneurs" program carried out by Youthactionnet®.
