I Read I Play
"I Read, I Play" project has been implemented with the support of Yapı Kredi Bank. It has been developed with a creative reading approach in order to develop the child's reading-comprehension, narrative skills. The program involves activities such as reading, writing, visual reading, comprehension, relating, criticizing, estimation and evaluating in order to create a positive attitude for reading in children.
The target population of the "I Read I Play" program are 1st, 2nd,3rd, 4th and 5th grade children.
The program is composed of chosen stories and comprehension activities. The content is formed in a way that children would listen to the story rather then read it. The comprehension activities involve writing, drawing, music, photography, dance and creative drama activities.
The volunteers who would like to teach I Read I Play program are preferred to;
- Be a graduate or university student in social sciences
- Be open to new perspectives in education
- Have effective communication skills.
